INR412: Foreign Policies of the Great Power

NR 412: Foreign Policies of the Great Powers is a one-semester course in the fourth year of B.A. (Hons) Degree in French and International Relations. It is a
two Unit Credit Course designed to explore the foreign policies of the Great Powers. The course begins with an introduction to foreign policy from
theoretical viewpoint and proceeds into different cases of great powers explored in the course. INR 412 is designed to facilitate understanding of relationship among great powers in the contemporary international system. The course explores how these great powers have influenced contemporary international system as well as their roles in various multinational organisations like the UN, EU and NATO. The course further explores the changing patterns of the relations among the great powers since the end of the cold war in 1989/90
