CSS804: Social Policy, Juvenile Delinquency and Criminal Justice System

CSS804 is a 3creditunitcourse for a semester that provides graduate students with the various topics on the scope of and issues in Social Policy, Juvenile Delinquency and Criminal Justice System. It is prepared for graduate students in Criminology and Security Studies at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN). Social Policy, Juvenile Delinquency and Criminal Justice System involves the carefully structured effort to use policy-driven procedures to identify undesirable behaviour among juveniles and show how they are handled by the correctional mechanisms to ensure sustainable order among the juveniles and overall order in the country. This guide
provides the graduate students with an advanced understanding of the role of Social Policy in the cognitive and behavioural restructuring of juveniles in a way that makes the social-control intervention of the criminal justice system very obvious.
